Abstract

The study was performed to detemine the concentrations of particulate matter (total suspended particulate and fine dust), lead, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, total hydrocarbons, non-methane hydrocarbons, methane, sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide in hte air on regular basis at seven selected intersections in the city of Colobo during the period from1990 to 1993.
