Abstract

The study revealed that majority of PHMS were without adequate knowledge regarding EPI. They were lacking immunization competency and refresher training regarding EPI. practices of most of the MCH clinics ( 90 percent) were highly unsatisfactory . Organization of the Clinic, sterilization of the instruments, site and technique of immunization of cold chain, records keeping have been observed to be highly unsatisfactory . Ultimate quality of care was very poor . Most of the PHMS did not have necessary knowledge , attitudes and practices in relation to EPL. Lack of in-service training have been seen as short comings
