| dc.description.abstract | Vidangadi churna is a herbal formulae for treating intestinal worms and related digestive disorders. Krimiroga is a condition in Ayurveda that refers to parasitic infestations in the body, particularly in the digestive system. Agnimandya is the condition where this digestive fire is weakened or imbalanced, leading to improper digestion. The main purpose of study, is to find out the mode of action of Vidangadi churna on the pathogenesis of Krimiroga and Agnimandya by studying the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamic potentials of ingredients. It has five ingredients which are Vidanga (Embelia ribes), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Kampilla (Mallotus philippensis. Yawakshara, and Saindhawalavana (rock salt). The data has been collected by authentic texts, monographs, dictionaries, research articles etc. According to the results in related to Rasa panchaka, prominent Rasa, Guna, Virya, Vipaka, Dosha karma were Katu, Laghu, Ushna, Katu and prominent Doshakarma (pharmacological action) was Kapha-vatashamaka. Hence, it can be said stated Vidangadi churna is a classical formulation used in for treating Krimi, due to anthelmintic properties. Agnimandya include, Weak digestive fire, Ama formation, Loss of appetite, Indigestion, Flatulence and belching and constipation or diarrhoea.
