Abstract:
According to the findings of the study, the majority. of the respondents, (90.4 7 percent )
had poor knowledge, 7.6 percent of the respondents had satisfactory knowledge, and only
1.9 percent had good knowledge regarding well women clinic activities. Knowledge on the
well women clinic activities positively associated with the age group of the respondents
and the level of education. The main source of knowledge on well women clinic activities
was PHMM (42.85percent ) attached to the MOH office, while their friends and relatives
played second. (31.42 percent ) The media played a minor role. 1 1.42 percent of the
respondents had favorable attitude, 47.14 percent percentage had neutral attitude and 4
1.42percent had unfavorable attitude regarding well women clinic activities. The cultural
barriers should be eliminated from' the Muslim community regarding the well women clinic
activities. False beliefs should be eliminated from the target population regarding well
women clinic activities. Evaluation of the knowledge on well women clinic activities among
the PHMM, who are the grass root level mediators, should also be carried out with the view
of enhancing their capabilities in disseminating this knowledge in a more effective manner
