Globalization in terms of its definition is mostly connected with commerce, media and communication technology, business and politics that have helped the world to shrink its virtual size. We are now in the silicon era, which has evolved through, electric, electronic and information eras. All these ages came into being through special inventors. The invention of the computer together with the worldwide web enabled humans to communicate and connect to people within seconds, who are far away located. Religion is also a divine power in all the civilizations from ancient to new. It made a major role in civilizing society. The preacher was the spiritual power in a society. In ancient Asian countries, religion was the opinion leader, teacher or preacher to protect society. Civilization developed with religion and it introduced basic communication methods such as oral communication, writing, and printing. Just like schools, business and Government, religious groups in Asia, are also rushing online, setting up home pages, broadcasting beliefs, establishing news groups, bulletin boards and chat rooms. The net is purveying human ideas of God; may drastically change the ideologies and faith around God. The worldwide web binds together Christian and Jew, Muslim and Buddhist, and makes them stay interconnected. Asians may also begin to find God in places they never imagined . |
