dc.description.abstract The need for an overall plan for controlling the occurrence of ARI in Kadugannawa MOH area is stressed. There is a need to educate the mothers and public health midwives to identify mild, moderate and severe forms of ARI . Mothers with no education should be given special consideration in planning and severe forms of ARI. Utilization of medical services seems to be adequate, those being the education programme for ARI . Utilization of medical services seems to be adequate , those being facilitated by the good communication system in the area and availability of the health care services knowledge on management of ear infections in children among the mothers has to be improved. There is a need to increase mothers, knowledge regarding the feeding of the child during an attack of respiratory infection.
