Abstract: A CIF contract denotes that the seller is responsible for the delivery of the documents that accompanies the goods. It implies that the buyer is responsible to make the payments concerning the cost, insurance, and freight and whereas the seller is required to plan in organizing them. This article explores the compatibility of a CIF arrangement against the provisions of the Sale of Goods Ordinance No. 11 of 1896.
