Abstract: Although Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is considered to be the "gold standard" for gall stone disease, minilap cholecystectomy (MLC) using a smail incision 2-5 cms in length has gained popularity as an alternative technique. This paper describes a new technique for this operation and compares outcome parameters for a matched group of patients undergoing LC or MLC.
